Delete a form

This will show you how to make the "Delete" button appear on a department folder allowing you to remove forms. This will require access to User Maintenance in order for the permission to be granted.

Step 1: Identify the Issue

Below shows a example where a user doesn't have access to the delete functionality in the folder. The ability for a user to view a folder and create an item in it are separate from their ability to remove these items.

Step 2: Set Permission

THIS STEP WILL REQUIRE USER MAINTENANCE!!

Enter user maintenance and select on the user for whom you wish to give the delete permission. Once the Add/Edit user dialog has opened, navigate to the Groups tab. On the Groups tab there should be a group called "DeleteDepartmentItemsGroup", check off this group and select the save button.

If the group doesn't exist, reference this article and make sure the group you create is called DeleteDepartmentItemsGroup: Creating a Security Group

Step 2: Set Permission

Step 3: End Result

After adding the permission it should add a Delete button(boxed in red below) when viewing a department folder. Selecting the check box on the form's row you wish to delete and pressing that button should remove the form from the folder.

Note: If performing this action doesn't remove the form it may currently have an error when loaded, opening the form should reveal these errors.
