Use Cases

Users should only log in from the office

Users should only log in from the office

There may be cases where you only want your users to log into Unicentric from the office, and not from their home. You can set up a mapping that includes your IP address(es), and the ALL group. By default all users are added into this group when created. Alternativly you can use an alternative group if you know it contains the users you expect.

You can find your public IP address from this URL: http://ipinfo.io/

Intern user should only log in from the office

Intern user should only log in from the office

Similar to the above, but instead of using the group, you can select a particular user.

Warning message users will see

Warning message users will see

With the IP mapping in place, when a user attempts to log in from a machine that is not in the list they will see this warning.

To correct, you can either add a new mapping for this user, edit the current mapping, or remove the mapping.
